Robert (Bob) Allen Corley Sr., 70, died Dec. 25 at St. Joseph's Hospital after a long illness. The son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Herbert (Ruth Allen) Corley, he was born in Newton County. He graduated from Newton County High School, Young Harris College and Georgia Southern College. He was an avid duplicate bridge player and was the owner of Alken Moving and Storage in Savannah for 30 years before he retired.
Surviving are wife Trudy Corley; son Robert Allen Corley Jr. (Lesley); daughter Ann Kathryn Corley Williams (Slate); grandchildren Joshua Corley, Sydney and Justin Williams, all of Savannah; brother Bill Corley (Robin) of Covington; sisters Faye Berry (Bill) of Gainesville, Kathryn Davis (Mickey) and Cindy Schell, both of Covington; a host of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held Dec. 28 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel, Savannah.
