Birds of prey: Sam Norman of Oxford and a senior at Shorter College, found himself matched up against an old friend and teammate, Travis Harrison, of Covington Friday night in a preseason game in Barnesville. Harrison is a freshman at Gordon College; however, both athletes played under Eastside head coach Jeff Cher on the varsity soccer team. Norman and Harrison were able to catch up on old and new times with each other during an hour-plus storm delay between halfs Friday evening. In the end, Shorter scored three late goals to win the game, 3-0.
