Mr. Tommy Millwood and Ms. Linda Millwood, both of Covington, announce the engagement of their daughter Amanda Lynn Millwood of Covington to Jamie Paul Mullinax, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robbie Mullinax of Covington.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Lee Millwood of Covington and the late Mr. Jack Lamberth and Ms. Augustine Lamberth of Covington. She is a graduate of Newton County High School and is employed as a family resource developer for GRN Community Service Board.

The future groom is the grandson of Ms. Bonnie Bockorny of Atlanta and the late Mr. Jack Thwaites and the late Mr. and Mrs. Howard Mullinax of Atlanta. He attends DeKalb Technical College studying HVAC and is employed by Atlanta Tire Specialists.

The wedding is planned for Sept. 29.
