Martha Jewell Prather Nicholson, 83, died Feb. 11. She was born in Covington in the Covington Mill Community. She married and raised her family in Atlanta. She moved to Florida in 2004. She was preceded in death by husband Henry Hanson (Bill) Nicholson, daughter Linda Faye Nicholson, sister Clifford Frances Prather and parents Clifford Anderson Prather and Beulah Modine Smith Prather. Mrs. Nicholson was raised in the Methodist church.

Surviving are daughters and son-in-law Ann Nicholson of Winter Haven, Fla., Gayle and Lamont Broussard; granddaughter Noelle Baker; and great-grandson Skyler Baker, all of Prairieville, La.

Burial will be Saturday, Feb. 16, at Hillcrest Cemetery, East Point.
