Martha Ann Green, 72, of Covington, died April 12 at Abbey Hospice. Mrs. Green was preceded in death by parents John Oliver and Ruby Pearson Harper. She was a multi-faceted member of Shiloh United Methodist Church for 64 years and taught Sunday school for 60 years. Mrs. Green worked for 25 years as an insurance agent with Frank Malcom and Associates. She lived a life of exemplary giving and was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and friend.

Surviving are daughters and son-in-law Lisa Karen and Grady Simpson of Toccoa, Linda Green Richardson of Covington; grandchildren Zachery Richardson and Jacob Richardson of Covington, Kimberly Hamilton and Raymond Hamilton of Toccoa, Jeff Simpson of Athens; great-grandchildren Cole Hamilton and Caroline Hamilton of Toccoa; brother and sister-in-law Luke and Kathleen harper, Fayetteville; best friend Bobby Green; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. April 15 in the Floyd Street chapel of Caldwell & Cowan with the Rev. Mike Nikolich, the Rev. Royeese Stowe and the Rev. Lester Cowan officiating. Interment was at Covington City Cemetery. Flowers are acceptable or donations may be made to Shiloh United Methodist Church building Fund, 10 Almon Church Road, Covington, 30014.
