Lois Athera Keller

Lois Athera Keller, 79, of Covington died Aug. 21 at the Rockdale Medical Center. Daughter of the late Loyce and Johnnie Hay Wise, she was a life-long member of Porterdale Baptist Church. An avid coffee and Coke drinker, she loved Southern gospel music and church hymns. Mrs. Keller will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Simon Howard Keller.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Samuel and Carolyn Keller of Covington, Herbert and Joyce Keller of Blue Ridge; grandchildren Sam and Mistie Keller, James and Krysti Odum, Johnathan Keller, Haley Keller; sister Vickie Norwood of Covington; Brothers Douglas Wise of Jefferson, Eddie Wise of Covington and Lanier Wise of Porterdale.

Funeral services for Mrs. Keller will be held today, 2 p.m. at the Caldwell & Cowan chapel at 3134 Floyd Street, with the Rev. Dickie Johnson officiating and internment to follow in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family received friends at Caldwell & Cowan on Floyd Street on Aug. 23.
