Mrs. Kathleen Smith Moore, 79, of Covington, died Aug. 12. the daughter of the late William A. Smith and Robbie Wilson Smith, she was born in 1929 in Rockdale County. Mrs. Moore was a member of Zion Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and oil painting and loved her family. At age 65 she helped her son pour 12 yards of concrete for a greenhouse. She and her husband owned Moore's Greenhouse where they worked until they retired. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Mr. William Amos Moore who passed away in May of this year.

 Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law Michael and Ellen Cannon of Covington, Andy and Deon Cannon of Jackson, Vic and Connie Moore of Atlanta; daughter and son-in-law Patricia and Bob Morris of Decatur; grandchildren Shane Cannon, Jamie Cannon, Lauren Cannon, Ryan Cannon, Jason Cannon, Beth Webb, Diana Tallent; great-grandchildren Ashley Cannon, Brooke Cannon, Nancy Jones, Michelle Jones, Jake Tallent, Caitlin Tallent; sister Mildred Williams of Conyers; brother John Smith of Conyers; several nieces and nephews.

 The family will receive friends Thursday, Aug. 14, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Wheeler Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15, at Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Reese Sanders officiating. Interment will follow at Green Meadow Memorial Gardens, Conyers.
