James O. Frazier

James O. Frazier, 82, of Covington, died July 28 at Newton Medical Center. The son of the late Oscar Lee Frazier and Alma B. Coggins Frazier, he was born in 1925 in DeKalb County. Mr. Frazier served in the U.S. Navy and was a salesman for Teledine Continental Motors. He was a member of Zion Baptist Church. He loved his church and its members and was a railroad enthusiast. Mr. Frazier had many friends throughout the county. He was preceded in death by wife of 54 years Sarah Elisabeth Frazier.

Surviving are daughter Elisabeth Gullion of Conyers; sons and daughters-in-law Dwight and Myrna Frazier of Conyers; Charles and Leila Frazier of Lithonia; brother Ransford Frazier of Deerfield, Ill.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. July 31, at Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Reese Sanders officiating. Interment followed at Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Flowers accepted or donations may be made to Zion Baptist Church in memory of James Frazier for the Reese Sanders Family Life Center.
