Jake Hewell, 14, of Covington, died May 25. Jake loved baseball and played football for Cousins Middle School in 2007-2008, where he was an honor student. He played guitar, loved the beach, and never met a stranger. Jake enjoyed spending time with his brother, Conner, was a loving son, brother, friend and was loved by all.

Surviving are parents Denny and Maggi Hewell; brother Conner Hewell, all of Covington; grandparents Ray and Marilyn Hewell of Covington, Steve and Kit Lloyd of Rockford, Ill.; great-grandparents Martha Hewell of Covington, Myrtle McCullough of Aiken, S.C., John Ragonese of New Berlin, Wis., Keith and Gertrude Lloyd of Milwaukee; aunts and uncles Jenni and Shawn Stephenson of Des Moines, Iowa, Olivia Hewell and Eddie Grindle of Covington; Timothy and Lynda Hewell of Stockbridge, Steve Lloyd of Milwaukee.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 30, 2 p.m., at Eastridge Community Church, with Pastor Scott Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Eastridge Community Church on Thursday, May 29, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to SteelCo Buildings, Inc. / Jake Hewell Memorial Fund, P.O.
