Richard and Phyllis Foisy of Covington announce the engagement of their daughter Lacey Ann Foisy of Covington to Timothy Kyle Fleming, son of Ester and Delia Fleming of Covington.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Wilma Butler of Snellville and Rosalie Foisy of Snellville. She is a graduate of George Walton Academy and received a bachelor's degree in political science and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Georgia. She is employed by Legends Land Development Group in Lawrenceville.

The future groom is the grandson of the late Ester and Corine Fleming of Covington and the late Forrest Sweat and Kathryn Sweat of Blackshear. He is a graduate of George Walton Academy and received a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Georgia. He is employed by Klip Communications in Conyers as government affairs director.

The wedding is planned for Oct. 20 at Second Ponce de Leon Baptist Church, Atlanta.
