Mrs. Erma "LaRue" Kitchens Needham, 68, of Covington, died Aug. 10 at Newton Medical Center. The daughter of the late Alfred and Nellie Lumsdem Kitchens, she was born in Newton County. She was a loving sister who loved the Lord and gospel music. Mrs. Needham is preceded in death by husband Arthur Needham and sister Jean Carney.

Surviving are sister and brother-in-law Mike and Pat Gibson of Covington; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. today, Aug. 12, in the chapel of Caldwell & Cowan with the Rev. Reese T. Sanders officiating. Interment will follow at Liberty Cemetery, Porterdale.
