Emory "Spunk" Simmons

Mr. Emory "Spunk" Simmons died March 9. The son of Mrs. Geneva Nell (Jessie) Sims and the late Mr. Emory "Wee" Simmons, he was born in 1951. He served in the United States military. He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers.

Surviving are parents Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Lee Sims; children Mr. and Mrs. Emory (Nink) Orlando Simmons, Mr. Sherrod Simmons; siblings Ms. Patricia Ann Simmons, Mr. John Kennedy Hill Simmons, Mr. Casey James Simmons, all of Conyers, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Simmons (Delores), Greensboro, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Waller (Barbara), Eatonton, Mr. and Mrs. David Waller (Annie), Greensboro, Mr. Victor Hill, Atlanta, Mr. and Mrs. Emory Lee Simmons (Angela), Austell; step-children Cammisha Maddox, Travis Dorsey; 11 grandchildren; aunts Mrs. Vera Bush, Buford, Mrs. Ella English, Covington; very dear and special friend Mr. and Mrs. Roosevelt (Essie) Pierce; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services were held March 15 at Sims Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Cecil Rozier officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
