Elton Daniel Sr. died Oct. 15 at Rockdale Medical Center, Conyers. The son of Dorothy F. Daniel and the late Orell Daniel, he was born in 1946 in Rockdale County. He joined Whites Chapel Methodist Church as a youth and attended J.P. Carr High School and later joined the Air Force. He enjoyed fishing, cooking and drag racing, his great love. Mr. Elton married Ms. Deborah Sheppard and they had four children. He later married Ms. Rosa Mae Colquitt and they had one son. He was preceded in death by brother Terry Daniel and sister Corine Daniel

Surviving are wife Mrs. Rose Mae Daniel; mother Dorothy F. Daniel; mother-in-law Essie Mae Colquitt; sons Mr. and Mrs. Michael L. Daniel (Mary Ann), Conyers, Mr. Elton EuGene Daniel, Stone Mountain, Mr. Norell Daniel, Conyers, Mr. Alfred Colquitt, Conyers; daughters Mrs. Phyllis L. Harris, Conyers, Ms. Pamela D. Daniel, Conyers; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters Ms. Florine Pearson, Ms. Christine Hale; three brothers-in-law; four sisters-in-law, four very special daughters-in-law; one special son-in-law; five special aunts; one uncle, 10 nephews; nine nieces; a host of close relatives and friends; very special friends Mrs. Cynthia Gibbs and family, Mrs. Joyce Wade and family, Mr. and Mrs. James Hagains and family.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Oct. 20 at Whites Chapel Church, Conyers, with the Rev. Kidd officiating.
