Eakins-Cleveland

David Cleveland and Stephanie Eakins of Covington were married Feb. 17 at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Alan Posey officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Randy and Carol Eakins of Covington and granddaughter of the Mary Carpenter, Tom and Mary Eakins and the late Frank Carpenter.

The groom is the son of Don and Patty Cleveland of Anderson, S.C., and Ron and Sarah Hartzog of Toccoa and grandson of Homer and Ruth Cleveland and the late George Albert and Catherine Mills.

The bride was given in marriage by her father and wore a Maggie Sottero Couture gown. The church was decorated with red and black bows with red roses and calla lilies.

Kristen Shaw of Flowery Branch served as maid of honor. Courtney Cody of Suwanee, Christy Satterfield of Senoia, Katie Cecil of Marietta, Amanda Taggart of Atlanta, Erin Exner of Newnan, and Megan Barber, Courtney Pickens, Dora Henderson and Callie Carter, all of Covington, served as bridesmaids. They wore long black strapless dresses with red sashes.

Brandon Barker of Toccoa served as best man. Chad Owens of Augusta, Bryan Pulliam of Bishop, Corey Carpenter of Knoxville, Tenn., Matt Turpin of Toccoa, David Cawthon of Toccoa, Chad Murphy of Atlanta, Ben Weddle of Memphis and Jared Eakins of Covington served as groomsmen.

Flowergirl and ringbearter were Ana Barker and Evan Barker of Toccoa. Bertie Ann Hardy, Gerri Murphy, Johanna Horstmann, Hank Hilliard and Colby Pendry provided special music.

The reception was held at the Charlie Elliott Wildlife Conference Center.

The couples honeymooned at Negril, Jamaica, and are at home at 65 Ashford Cove.
