The Charlie Elliot Wildlife Center is hosting a free summer event before children go back to school.
On July 19, from 9 a.m. to noon, kids 16 and younger are able to fish at the Charlie Elliot Clubhouse Lake.
With an opportunity to catch a bass, bream or catfish, kids will be able to fish with the center's fisheries staff. Each child may take home up to two large mouth bass, 15 bream, five catfish and one hybrid white-striped bass.
Children 14 and younger are asked to be supervised by an adult. Bait and tackle is not provided. Staff asks no minnows be used as bait.
