Celebrate Saint Patrick's Day

 If green beer, Irish food and music and revelry are what you're looking for this St. Patrick's Day then go no further than your hometown restaurants, bars and pubs.

 Several local establishments will host some form of a St. Patrick's Day celebration either on Monday (the actual day of the holiday) or sometime this weekend.

Celtic Tavern

The Celtic Tavern in Conyers will be the centerpiece of the Olde Town Conyers St. Patrick's Day celebration which begins at 4:30 with the Shortest, Fastest-growing Parade in the World. The king and queen of St. Patrick's Day will be crowned at the pavilion after the parade's conclusion. The street in front of the Celtic Tavern will be closed that evening for music, food and fun. The Celtic Tavern will have Irish food, green beer and other Irish drink specials. The party is open to the public. The St. Patrick's Day party will begin at Celtic Tavern on Friday. Michelangelo's

As always, Michelangelo's will be very busy on St. Patrick's Day. The celebration will include live music in bar, an Irish menu of beef stew, shepherd's pie and cabbage and happy hour from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Michelangelo's is located at 951 Railroad St., Conyers. Club 908

Club 908's celebration will include a $100 prize for the best dance jig at 6:30 p.m. A pianist will perform for patrons on Monday. Musical selections will include, among others, Irish ballads and sing-a-long tunes. Food specials are also planned for the evening, which include a corn beef hoagie sandwich and hot potato salad along with Chocolate Guinness parfait. For the kids, Frito pie will be served. The Depot

The Depot located at 4122 Emory Street N.W. in Covington is having a "big party" on Monday. Special drink prices, games and cash prizes given away are on tap for the night as well as, Irish music, green beer and Irish food. The party is set to begin around 7 p.m. There is no cover charge. It's Five o'clock

Somewhere

The party at Five o'clock will include live music, live leprechauns and corn beef and cabbage. Green beer, door prizes, games and giveaways are also slated for the party.
