Bill Cole, 68, of Newborn, died Jan. 2. The son of the late Uel and Minnie McCart Cole, he retired from Ford Motor Company after 32 years of service. Mr. Cole attended Shiloh Baptist Church, enjoyed bowling and loved to travel. He dearly loved his family and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife, Linda Cole of Newborn; daughters and sons-in-law, Angie and Kent Adams of Douglasville, Tammy and Dennis Coleman of Anniston, Al., Terri Cole-McArdle of Covington, Karen Ramsey of Atlanta, Tammy and Dale Patterson of St. Augustine, Fla., Missy Cole of Covington; son, Tim Cole of Covington; 20 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Leon and Laurie Cole of Norcross; several nieces and nephews.
Services for Mr. Cole will be held today, Jan. 4 at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Rd., with the Rev. Danny Sorrells and Brother Paul Miller officiating. Interment will follow in New Covington Cemetery.
