Mrs. Beatrice "Bea" Allen, 78, of Covington, died Dec. 30 at her home. The daughter of the late Rufus and Grace Crawley Anglin, she was born in 1929 in Walton County. Mrs. Allen was an active lifelong member of Calvary Baptist Church and a resident of Covington for 76 years. She enjoyed reading, and her grandchildren were her heart.

Surviving are daughter and son-in-law Lavonne and Henry Wallace; son Gordy Allen; sister Juanita Anglin, all of Covington; brothers and sisters-in-law Kent and Deanna Anglin of Sautee, Barney and Ruby Anglin of Covington; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews Terry and Barbara Rowe; numerous other family and close friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Jan. 2, at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Alan Thompson officiating. Interment will follow at Covington Mill Cemetery.
