The Newton County Library, the Arts Association in Newton County and Newton County Schools collaborated to organize the True Colours Art Exhibit.
All the artwork - paintings, sketches and sculpture - have been created by K-12 students in the Newton County School System.
"The artistic talents that are possessed by many of our local children are phenomenal, and in some instances these talents may not receive the recognition they deserve," said Abigail Morgan Coggin, program director for the Arts Association in Newton County. "This exhibit is a wonderful opportunity to showcase these students."
The free exhibit can be viewed at the library through March 28.
"We are blessed to have the art teachers employed by the Newton County School System who are able to help mold the creativeness of their students into such wonderful works of art," Coggin said. "Without their guidance these children may not have the opportunity to grow their artistic talents."
