After weeks of investigation, the Newton County Sheriff's Office and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation have made an arrest in the murder of a Decatur woman whose dismembered body parts were found off of Ga. Highway 212 on Oct. 29.

According to a press release issued by the GBI, Franklin Benson, 47, was arrested this weekend and has been charged with the murder of his girlfriend, 49 year-old Leslyan Williams of Decatur. Benson is currently being held in the Newton County Jail.

Williams, whose head and torso are still missing, was reportedly identified by her fingerprints.
