Angel Lucus

Angel Lucus, 45, of Covington, died Aug. 16 at Atlanta Medical Center. The daughter of the late Cleophus Lee McGuire, she was a member of Baptist Tabernacle where she started and was head of the card ministry, was treasurer of the Hand Maidens of the Lord Sunday School Class. She loved her church very much. Mrs. Lucus' hobby was collecting eagles. She was preceded in death by daughter Ashley Lucus and brothers Wayne and Mark McGuire.

Surviving are husband David Lucus of Hardwick; daughters Annie Lucus and Elizabeth Lucus, both of Covington; mother Barbara McGuire of Covington; sister and brother-in-law Wanda and Bob Camp of Stone Mountain; brothers and sister-in-law Marshal and Sheila McGuire of Newnan, Michael McGuire of Covington; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. today, Aug. 20, at Baptist Tabernacle with Dr. R. Hudson Moody and Dr. David Moody officiating.
