Students at Middle Ridge Elementary School showed off their talents at a school-wide Fine Arts Night Thursday evening.

Parents could rotate through music, art and juggling performances with their child's grade level after a PTO chili supper and meeting.

Pre-K, kindergarten and first grades performed together, while second and third graders put on group performances as did the fourth and fifth grades.

Music teacher Amy Thomas directed students in songs pertaining to the theme of "A Time to Give Thanks." Songs included tunes about turkeys as well as patriotic jingles.

During the song "I Gotta Gratitude Attitude" kindergarten students said what they were thankful for this year.

Students listed family members, God, toys and football as things they appreciated.

Jonathan Leonard, physical education teacher, lead the students in a juggling exercise. Students started with one scarf and worked their way up to three or more scarves.

Leonard reminded students to start throwing with whatever hand they felt most comfortable with or used to write.

Art teacher Debbie Nelson organized a large art display where parents could purchase framed and matted pieces of their child's hand prints, paintings or water colors.

The event had a spectacular turn out of family members and friends.
