On a cold Wednesday evening Florida State commit Abby Evans, blanked the Lady Tigers twice lifting Hilgrove to 1-0 and 6-0 wins respectively, ending Alcovy’s playoff run in the second round.

The Lady Tigers played a great opening game, in what was a classic pitcher’s duel. Kalia Johnson pitched a good game and the Alcovy defense made some exceptional plays to hold Hillgrove for most of the game.

With a runner on second and third and only one out Michelle Forrester hit a deep ball to left center that was caught but allowed Hillgrove’s Ashley Allen to score and eventually give the Hawks the game.

As the night grew colder, Hillgrove’s bats got hot and the Hawks scored three runs in the first inning of the second game before going on to score three more and keeping Alcovy from crossing the plate.

The Lady Tigers finish a great season with a record of 21-5.
