With its loss to Eastside, Alcovy didn’t get the start to its season that it wanted, and playing against Baldwin will be even tougher.

Baldwin is 2-0 to start its season and will look to keep that undefeated streak going against the Tigers.
Alcovy has an inexperienced team, a well-known fact to this point. In practice, the coaches are looking to instill discipline to their young group of guys. The Tigers have the talent, it’s just a question of putting it together.

At quarterback, Bubba Hickson will continue to grow and develop, and he already has a good deep ball. Hickson missed on a few throws against Eastside, but the Tigers also had some costly dropped passes in their last matchup, something they will look to correct in this next game.

At the skill positions are D’Anthony Bell and Kenyon Kelley, both seniors who have the ability to make big plays on offense. Bell, who’s also exceptional on defense, is a good strong receiver who can get big yards off screen plays. Kelley makes plays in the running game and the passing game. Kelley runs like a bull with horns, relentlessly straight through defenders.

The Tigers kick off against Baldwin tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Sharp Stadium.
