There'll be jolly riders loaded with toys for kids next weekend, but they'll be powered by iron horses rather than reindeer.

Conyers Riding Association's 22nd annual Christmas Toy Run will take place Saturday, Dec. 1, departing 11 a.m. from Target. All proceeds benefit Rockdale Emergency Relief, which operates a local food pantry and rent/utility relief program.

Motorcycle riders of all kinds are invited to participate by bringing a toy worth about $15 or paying $15 for the admission fee. Passengers are asked to bring a toy worth about $10 or pay a $10 fee.

Donations of canned food goods or money, with checks payable to Rockdale Emergency Relief, are also welcome.

An escort will be provided by the Rockdale County Sheriff's Office.

The event begins at 9 a.m. and riders will depart at 11 a.m. from the Target parking lot, on Ga. Highway 20 south. The ride ends at Stone Mountain Harley Davidson, where there will be food, drinks and door prizes available. Non riders are welcome to come at the start and end of the run.

The run will be held in memory of Robert Mayfield.
