Plenty of fun

Looking for something fun to do with the whole family this weekend? You don't have to look very far. There are two great options to consider - the annual Fuzz Run this Saturday in Covington and the Social Circle Fair, running through Saturday.

The Fuzz Run has been a local tradition for 28 years and draws crowds from across the state to run for a good cause. The first race of the day, the Fun Run, begins at 8 a.m. and the main event, the 5K, begins at 8:30. You can still register on the day of the event if you're on the fence about running, and the $20 registration fee will be used to support local nonprofits.

Just up the road, the Social Circle Rotary has brought their annual fair back to town. The fun family event will be in town through Saturday evening.

Admission is $1 and for $20 you can buy a wristband for unlimited carnival rides. The Rotarians use the money raised from this sponsorship to support their many community activities.
