Rev. James Paige of Covington, died June 7, 2009, at the age of 78. Rev. Paige previously pastored churches in Jackson, Griffin, and Covington; worked many years in the floor covering business; and was self-employed as owner/operator truck driver for 10 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. Paige was a loving father, good provider, and worked hard all his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lillie Mae Hendrix. Survivors include his wife, Rosemary Paige; daughters and son-in-law, Jean and Ed Danner of Covington, Beverly Paige of Lawrenceville, Nancy Paige of Douglasville, step-daughter and her husband, Kathy and Bob Tomlin of Loganville; son, Dale Paige of Covington; step-son and his wife, Owen and Connie Humphries of Conyers; 6 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 2 step-great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Camille and Ed Crews of Winchester, KY; brother, John Henderson of MS; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mr. Paige will be held Saturday, June 13, 2009, 2 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Rd., with interment following in Green Meadow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Friday, June 12, from 6-9 PM.
