Robert L. Lash, of Covington, passed away Oct. 18. The son of the late Ben Lash and Elnora Whitlow Lash he was born in 1941 in Artisa, Miss. He graduated from Kankeee High School in 1961 and retired from General Motors after 22 years of service.

Surviving are wife of Rosie B. Lash of Covington; children Helane Aghayere and Augustine of Aurora, Ill., and Garrett D. Lash and Ceata of Romeoville, Ill.; grandchildren Alexis and Alexander Aghayere and Leithen and Jeiden Lash; sister Mary Rice of Chicago; several nieces and nephews; and extended family.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at Springfield Baptist church, 3001 Old Salem Road, S.E., Conyers with Pastor Eric Lee officiating. The body will be in the church from 1:30 p.m. to the time of the funeral. There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens.
