Mr. Milford Dale Hefton, 47, of Covington, died Dec. 16. The son of Dale and Dixie (Singleton) Hefton, he was born in 1961 in Klamath Falls, Ore. He worked in the trucking business for over 20 years and was currently employed as a truck driver for Scott Harper Trucking and part-time for War Trucking. He was co-owner of The Lawn Ranger Lawn Service Company. Mr. Hefton was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church and was a softball coach at Covington Christian Church NCYSL. He was a loving husband and father. He was preceded in death by his mother Dixie (Singleton) Hefton.

Surviving are wife Tracy Lynn Hefton of Covington; father Dale Hefton of Covington; sons Joshua Hefton, Zachary Hefton, Michael Hefton and Levi Hefton, all of Covington; sister Rhonda Clark of Hoschton; brothers Greg Hefton of Bowling Green, Ky., Nolan Hefton of Mounds, Okla.; half-brother Ben Hefton of McRae; half-sister Mary Hefton of McRae; several nieces, nephews, other close family and friends.

The family will receive friends today, Dec. 19, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Wheeler Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, at Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Franklin, the Rev. Franklin Walden and Ted Roger Sr., Officiating. Interment will follow at Hour of Deliverance Campground, Conyers.
