ATLANTA (AP) - A Georgia Tech student was attacked and robbed over the weekend, the latest in a series of assaults of students on and near the Atlanta campus in recent weeks.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports (http://bit.ly/uuUjgs) that a man punched him in the face and put him in a headlock before stealing his wallet.
Police said the attack happened as the man walked on Fifth Street near West Peachtree Street near the College of Management at Tech Square around 12 a.m. Saturday. The student wasn't hurt.
Last week, a university employee told police she was attacked and robbed of her purse near the campus. Police are also investigating earlier attacks on three female Georgia Tech students who were assaulted while walking across the campus.
