Social Circle

Water stains

The City of Social Circle will be flushing/flowing fire hydrants through Oct. 15. When the hydrants are flushed, residents may experience some stained water coming from their faucets. Clear water lines by turning on an outside water faucet until the water clears up.

Covington

Bibles donated

A pair of Bibles from the 19th century were recently donated to the Covington Branch Library, which receives all sorts of interesting gifts. Library donations are sold in periodic Friends of the Library book sales unless they are in poor condition, especially with crumbling paper or mold; those poor-condition books would then be recycled, according to Britt Ozburn, the library’s materials coordinator.

Contact the library at 770-787-3231 for more details.
