The 2014-2015 Newton County FFA Officer Team participated in a leadership retreat on June 23-27. The retreat was organized by Newton County FFA Advisor Melissa Snyder and took place at Newton High School in Covington, Georgia.

The 2014-2015 Newton County FFA Officer Team includes President De’Janae Hooks, Vice President Brianna Johnson, Secretary Cambrilyn Scofield, Treasurer Fletcher Stamps, Reporter Ashley Vilmenay, Sentinel Tyler Cleary and Student Advisor Adrian Ramos-Gonzalez.

This was the first event of their year of service, and while attending the retreat, the Newton County FFA Officer Team completed the year’s calendar of events, organized the Program of Activities, participated in team building initiatives and set goals for themselves and the Newton County FFA Chapter.

“The officer retreat is the first time the new Newton County FFA officer team had the opportunity to work together, and it is essential for planning the upcoming year’s events,” according to Newton County FFA Advisor, Melissa Snyder. Secretary Cambrilyn Scofield described the officer retreat as “a great bonding experience for new and returning officers.”
