Newborn Emmalee Hall (bottom middle) represents the fifth generation of her family in Newton County. She was born May 31.

The eldest family member is Ruby Allen (top right) who is 97 and enjoys gardening, painting and writing poetry. She and her sister Lillie Fuller, 96, live together in Newborn.

Next is Bruce Wheeler (top left) who recently celebrated his 46th anniversary with wife Janice. They have three children, eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Wheeler is a longtime farmer in Social Circle. His daughter is Sheri Joyner (bottom left) a lifelong resident of Newton County and proud mother of two. Her daughter is Brittany Hall (bottom right), also a lifelong Newton County resident. She and her husband Casey married in 2010. Hall is a proud new mom of baby girl Emmalee.
