Six Eastside High School students recently attended the final All-State Chorus held in Savannah. The students went through a rigorous two-step audition process and competed against 8,000 students across Georgia to earn the honor of attending where 1,750 students were selected.

The EHS students were assigned to four different choirs and performed concerts for the public on Saturday, Feb. 23 at the Savannah Civic Center. The event is sponsored by the GMEA – Georgia Music Educators Association.

Next year, the event moves to Athens and will be held at the classic center. While in Savannah, the group held their Annual EHS Chorus Bowling Tournament. EHS choral director Joel Singleton regained his winning title this year after losing last year to EHS junior Sam Potts.
