COVINGTON, Ga. -A local school bus was involved in a hit and run accident Friday afternoon on State Route 142 in Covington. There were reportedly no children on the bus at the time of the crash and no injuries were reported, according to a statement from the Georgia State Patrol (GSP). The bus was traveling east on State Route 142, in stop-and-go traffic because of a backup from a four-way intersection when it was struck in the rear by a small, brown Chevrolet sedan, according to the statement.
