Raymond Edward Dammar

Mr. Raymond Edward Dammar, 57, of Covington, died Oct. 12. The son of the late Albert Dammar and Icilda Khorran Dammar of Miami, Fla., he was born in Kingston, Jamaica, in 1949. He was retired from Ford Motor Company where he worked as an engineer for 27 years. He was a member of the West Indian Cricket club in Detroit and a member of the West Indian American Association also in Detroit. He served on the church council and was a member of Harvest Ministries Church, Farmington Hills, Mich., for 20 years. Mr. Dammar was a loving husband and father and devoted grandfather.

Surviving are wife Marcia Dammar of Covington; mother Icilda Dammar of Miami; children Sanjay and Karen Dammar of Westland, Mich;, Brian Dammar of Westland, Kellie Dammar of Covington, Andrew Dammar of Covington; grandson Dominic Dammar of Westland; brothers and sisters Gerald Dammar of Oakpark, Mich., Rohan Dammar of Miami, Shirley of Covington; Beverly, Yvonne, Sharon, Dawn and Andrea, all of Miami.

The family will receive friends at Wheeler Funeral Home today, Oct. 19, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at Victory Tabernacle with Pastor Doug Nelms officiating. Interment will follow at Lawnwood Memorial Park.
