Firefighters responded to a minor fire that broke out at the McDonald's on the corner of Ga. Highway 138 and Flat Shoals Road around 10:25 a.m. Wednesday. The fire was contained to the ventilation system above the fryers and quickly put out. There were no reported injures to customers, employees, or firefighters, said Rockdale County Fire and Rescue Deputy Chief Dan Morgan.
