CONYERS - Rockdale Emergency Relief (RER) and Rockdale County-Fire Rescue (RCFR) are asking for the public's help in the second annual Community Food Drive on Sat., June 27, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., at the Walmart Supercenter, 1436 Dogwood Drive, Conyers, 30013.
The food drive, benefiting the RER Community Food Bank, will feature a working fire truck and a 1951 historic fire truck on display between the store entrances. Last year, the food drive saw a huge response from the community, and RCFR Fire Chief Dan Morgan is again issuing a call to action to citizens to help fill the historic fire truck with food while they shop at Walmart. The event will also include a special visit from Sparky the Fire Dog.
RER urges families across the County to support the food drive by donating nonperishable food items for Rockdale County residents in need.
