Porterdale officials are still planning to have a fireworks show tonight around 9:30 p.m., despite this afternoon's storms. Councilman Robert Foxworth said the city is setting up fireworks now and will then cover everything up with plastic until tonight. Officials are monitoring a small patch of rain near Peachtree City, but Foxworth said even if the patch moves through Porterdale, officials will simply wait for it to pass and then shoot off the fireworks.
