Firefighters responded to calls of a vehicle on fire on Lake Capri Road near the intersection with Rockbridge Road around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday. Neighbors reported hearing several loud explosions as the car and its gas tank burned. One neighbor said the explosion shook her home door so violently she thought someone was trying to break in.
