We have had the opportunity recently to praise both the local Lions Clubs and the Rotary Club for their outstanding service to our community.
Recently, the local Kiwanis Club also has been deserving of praise for its community service and involvement.
For the third year in a row, Kiwanis members provided good cheer to folks who found themselves in the unfortunate position of being housed at the local homeless shelter.
The Kiwanians, with help from members of the Eastside High Key Club, served more than 70 people at the Garden of Gethsemane homeless shelter.
The Kiwanians were also big helpers for the Salvation Army, ringing those Christmas bells to raise money for a good cause.
We salute all of our local Kiwanis Club members and thank them for their good works throughout the year.
