Obituary
Born to the late Mr. R.T. Nelson and Ms. Ollie Mae Hight in Covington, Georgia. She was preceded in death by one son, Mr. James D. Smith, two brothers, Mr. R. H. Nelson and Mr. Archie B. Nelson, two sisters, Ms. Geneva Nelson and Ms. Catherine "Cat" Nelson.
She married the late Mr. James P. Smith, November 20, 1965. Grace joined Peeks Chapel Baptist Church at an early age and served faithfully until her health declined.
Grace worked at Rockdale Medical Center and loved the Lord and helping others. She enjoyed spending time with her family and participating in church activities.
Grace loved her family and loved and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Grace loved each and every one of her nieces and nephews, they were all very special to her. She was an avid baseball fan and coached her own softball team.
Grace will forever be remembered and cherished by her children; Ms. Felita Smith, Ms. Deborah L. Smith (Tony) , Mr.& Mrs. James (Tonya) Jackson, III, and Mr. Ashley D. Nelson, grandchildren, Joshua D. Smith, Endia N. Davis, Santonio L. England, Jayden H. Jackson, Saniyah L. England and a (grand pet) (Jaz), three sisters, Ms. Dorothy S. Arnold, Ms. Ollie Kate Nelson and Ms. Gloria Ruth Nelson, one aunt, Ms. Essie Kelly two brothers-in-law, Mr. & Mrs. Charles (Cecelial) Smith and Mr. Madison L. Smith, two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Linnie Kate Nelson and Mrs. Rachel Smith, along with a host of nieces nephews , cousins and many many friends.
