Ms. Kathryn Julie Hardeman was born on May 14, 1946, in Newton County to Ms. Nettie Ruth Hart and Mr. Elbert Glover.
“Hudy,” as she was affectionately known, gave her life to Christ when she joined Springfield Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a member until she was called home. She worked as a machine operator at Covington Molding, where she ultimately retired.
Hudy cared for many and loved everyone she met in her own unique way. When you would stop by her house, she could be seen sitting in her recliner watching television, if she was not out caring for her family and friends. She touched many, young and old, and will be GREATLY MISSED.
Hudy was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 17, 2018. She was preceded in death by her father, Elbert Glover; her mother, Nettie Ruth Hart; her daughter, Joanne Hardeman; brothers, Eddie Lewis Glover, Roy Lee Glover, Johnny Glover, Leroy Dudley, Walker Hart and Ecker Hart; and sister Annette Glover.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Tony (Vivian) Hardeman; daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jeff (Linda) Ward; sisters, Ms. Geneva Hart, Mr. and Mrs. Kevin (Zell) Heard, Ms. Betty Hart and Mrs. Mattie Mae Belcher; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and caring friends.
A homegoing celebration began at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 21, at Springfield Missionary Baptist Church in Newborn with the Rev. Jerry Stokes serving as pastor and eulogist. Burial followed at Lawnwood Memorial Park in Covington. A meal followed in the church’s fellowship hall.
Family and friends served as floral bearers and pallbearers
