James Darrington Hamlett

Mr. James Darrington Hamlett, died Oct. 11, in Montgomery, Ala. He is survived by his wife Ashley Campbell Hamlett, formerly of Covington, and two sons Henry Churchill and William Gunter Hamlett; his parents Carolyn Clark Minder of Benton, La. and Ernest Holt Hamlett III of Orrville, Ala.; his brother Ernest Holt Hamlett IV (Kelly) of Chattanooga, Tenn. and two sisters Alice Hamlett Mendoza (Tony) of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Sarah Hamlett (Carston) of Clanton, Ala. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother Alice Little Clark of Gadsden, Ala.

Mr. Hamlett was a graduate of Tulane University and the University of Alabama School of Law. He served on the vestry of St. John's Episcopal Church in Montgomery where the funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today, Oct. 14.

Interment to follow at New Live Oak Cemetery in Selma, Ala. at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the St. John's Building Fund at 113 Madison Ave, Montgomery, AL 36104.
