BUFORD, Ga. (AP) — Gwinnett County police say a man was likely trying to commit suicide when he fell over a third-floor railing at the Mall of Georgia in Buford.
Police said in an incident report that the man approached the ticket counter for a movie theater inside the mall Sunday afternoon and later went to the third floor of the mall where he sat on a chair next to the railing before he climbed on top of it.
Police say the man threw himself backward when the manager of the movie theater approached and asked him to step down from the railing.
The man was rushed to the Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville. Authorities didn't provide details on the man's condition Monday.
