A local ministry that spreads its helping wings throughout the county has set up shop in Social Circle.

Faith in Serving Humanity (FISH), a Christian outreach ministry sponsored by churches throughout Walton County, opened its third thrift shop, located in the Blue Willow Village, Thursday, Sept. 18. Any money coming in through the store goes directly to fund FISH4KIDS and FISH-MD, which provides medical and dental care to uninsured and underinsured residents of the county.

Donations still are only accepted through the Monroe office.

“It’s a great addition to the Blue Willow Inn area because those are some of the people who will want to shop,” said Lee Bradford, Walton County commissioner-elect.
