Porterdale man arrested for cutting someone else's trees

PORTERDALE, Ga. – A Porterdale man was arrested after cutting down trees on someone else’s property last week.

Porterdale Police Officer Marty Roberts met with the city code enforcement officer in response to a complaint of trees being cut down and removed without permission from the land owner.

Joel Johnson, 37, was arrested and charged with second-degree criminal damage, criminal trespassing and a city ordinance of having an open fire in the yard.
