Several guns were stolen from the Emergency Pawn Shop on Highway 278 during an early morning break-in Feb. 18.

According to a Covington Police Department (CPD) report, officers responded to a burglar alarm at the business shortly after 4 a.m. On arrival, the officers reportedly found a broken window believed to be where the thieves made entry into the building. Officers also observed a large brick believed to be used to break the window.

After clearing the building, officers reportedly observed several broken glass cases that were missing guns. According to the report, a wooden hammer believed to be used to break into the glass cases was found inside one of the cases.

According to the report, the owner of the business will conduct an inventory to determine how many and what type of weapons were taken.
