COVINGTON, Ga. – Investigators with the Covington Police Department are seeking information about the four suspects who broke into a Covington gas station early Monday morning.

According to a press release from CPD captain Ken Malcom, the four forced entry into the Raceway on Highway 278 Sept. 10 at approximately 1 a.m. The suspects stole a small safe and the money drawers from two cash registers.

Malcom said they were traveling in a dark colored four-door SUV, possibly a Lexus. He said the suspects were extremely well organized with at least one entering the store armed in a tactical manner.

CPD is asking anyone with any information about the theft to contact Sgt. Daniel Digby at 678-625-5533 or daniel.digby@covingtonpolice.com.

According to Malcom, a reward is being offered to anyone who has information that leads to an arrest and conviction in the case.
