COVINGTON, Ga. – Investigators with the Covington Police Department are looking for whoever broke into the Arby’s on Turner Lake Road.

According to a CPD incident report, officers responded to the fast food restaurant shortly before 7:30 a.m. Wednesday morning after a store manager arrived for work and found the front door shattered and a large rock or piece of concrete inside.

After clearing the building, police reportedly found a safe that had been “destroyed”, with pieces lying on the floor, and money visible but not accessible at the bottom of the safe. An electronics cage at the rear of the store appeared to have been pried open but nothing was missing.

According to the report, the manager was unable to tell police how much money was taken. A CPD spokesman said there are no suspects.
